Talk about the race

I'm personally surprised at my position of the end of the race, started last on the grid after I had to quickly copy and paste the new LMP download and missed qual, the initial start of the race was a little bit ropey, but it was fun to pass through the traffic and likewise letting the leaders through.
At one point I was running third but I had not made my stop until lap 31, came out of the pits back in 7th but managed to pull up to 5th even after suffering a lag attack through turn 2 (surprised I didn't collect anyone, even when I tried to stop the car).
The race was brilliant, everyone that I was passing or was passing me gave room, had great fun I can see why mosport is a great track for battles now.

Not the best race for either Brenda or myself so I'll just congratulate Tom and Greg for their well-deserved class wins.

Holy cow, what a race! No matter how it came about I'm thrilled to have won a PORRS race. Every time I looked up someone else had encountered a problem and I moved up the ladder another position. I had many close calls and was very fortunate to not be among those who experienced race ending incidents. One unforced error when I spun myself out was of no consequence, one time I got fooled a bit and picked the wrong way around someone which resulted in a bit of a wall banger and then toward the end I came upon two slower cars and almost bought the farm when one stayed left and one moved right. I got lucky threading the needle between them. Things happen so fast at Mosport that it's pretty easy to get caught up in something but tonight wasn't the night for it to happen to me and the result was my first ever win. WOOOHOOO, I'm gonna have a(nother) beer! :-)

Congrats Greg and Tom, winning ain't easy is it? My race went about as expected other than getting a podium, but don't ya know when I am up to 3rd I still push hard 'cause anything can happen until the fat lady sings Poor Brenda, really a very hard track to run multi-class racing and being a rookie (and no doubt hearing Paul cursing as well) she had a baptism by fire. No matter what, whenever anyone tries to move out of the way it usually causes them harm (right Ced? How's the turn 9 wall taste?). I had quite a few "incidents" when approaching others who tried to give room, the hairiest when I was flying down (up?) the back Mario Andretti Straight and a damaged Mr. Oldnslo zigged when I thought he was zagging and I clipped him. Man, thank goodness I'm used to having to minimise bad situations, picked the perfect time to floor the gas so I spun harmlessly down the track and kept off the walls. Feel sorry for all that had more problems than me, bummer I'm sure. Thanks for the race Ced and felt pretty good to be back Bob

Well I guess Mr T1 Means business with his third place finish.
Congrats to Tom on a well deserved Win.
Well the PORRSWerx Team didn't get the best qual out of our new venture with the Dallara chassis but in the race the car was great. Could not keep pace with the Audi's but that just means the mod is dead on for that year because who could....lol.
Happy with the 6th place finish and the many battles I had out there. Traffic was great tonight and well done guys.
Can't wait till MO.

It was a horrible race for me but I have no one to blame but myself. I had a decent car and qualified around 8th. On lap one I got tagged from behind going into T5 and spun around. When I got back going I could feel a 'click/shift' in my wheel and wrote if off as suspension damage. The car continued on and didn't seem to ba going any slower so I continued on.
I think I screwed up and spun in T6 at least 4 or 5 times along the way when I'd put half a tire in the dirt. I was still running well though and my big mistake came as I was battling with Ced for about 6th place. I got a bad run out of T6 (car was loose accelerating out of corner) and Ced was coming up fast. I was driving with my mirrors, trying to stay right to let him pass me and by the time I looked up I had about 1 second before I ran over Brenda. When I reviewed the replay it looks like she had sustained wheel damage and was trying to get back to the pits. She was keeping her car out of the way and was limping back and just got clobbered. I was going about 150 and she was at 50, suprisingly both of us survived the wreck.
But either way I just wanted to say sorry to her because it was all my fault. You were off the racing line, unfortunately I also was trying to stay out of the racing line and completely missed seeing your car.
After that I ended up getting a black flag for not letting Sandy by and when I tried to serve it, 3 times, I ended up with a DQ. Because I haven't experienced a black flag in rfactor before I didn't know how to clear it. After the race Tom mentioned something about having to select something on your pit request, to make you serve the penalty. Once he said that it reminded me about a thread I had seen elsewhere, and I think he was on the right track. I'll have to do some offline testing to learn how to correctly clear a BF.
Ced, I have two requests for you. You mentioned being able to turn off the blue flag/black flag issue with a change to our player file. Could you explain what line needs to be changed so that I can fix this?
I was also wondering if you could change the final race standings and give Brenda and myself finishing positions that coincide with the # of laps we completed? I realize that it our soley our fault for not knowing how to clear the black flag, I am just trying to get a slight positive out of a race that I totally screwed up.

Had a pb in qualifying getting into the 1.03's which surprised the heck out of me and got pole position. Had a good start and stayed in front of Don for the first few laps. Had problems into the last complex as we came up on 2 slower cars I went wide into the left hander to avoid the first car not knowing there was another car just in front of the first. Sorry for tagging whoever it was. Then settled into P4 for awhile. Then someone left the game and my connection went downhill. Happened at the first race too. I had a stable connection and then someone disconnects from the game and my conn is shot. anyway, fast forward to the last 5 minutes and I figure being 30 seconds behing Sandy and 5 seconds in front of Tom I would just try and hold on for P2. Then I ran wide at P3 and Tome got by, little did I know that would be for the win as Sandy pitted, wasnt expecting that. So I tried to catch Tom but a few bobbles here and there and consistency from Tom made it impossible. Good win Tom!!

Tough race. I had a problematic Q not being able to get in a full lap at speed due to traffic. I got off track 3-4 times trying to avoid slower cars. It was summed up well earlier " i zigged instead of zagged a lot of times". I hope I have a better finish next race. Kevin I am sorry about tapping you from behind. I think it was cold brakes b\c my car wouldn't stop. I am usually very careful and I am sorry. I did not take the position b\c I caused you to spin. Cya next race. Thanks for all the hard work Ced!!!!!!

Hey no problem on the bump, it was just a baby touch anyway. Like I said, at 1st I was a little worried because I could feel something in my wheel. But the car seemed up to speed after that so no harm, no foul.
Plus I made it up to you within a few laps when I spun coming out of 6 and we ended up face to face in the middle of the track. I know you had to lose 3 - 5 seconds because of my mistake.

Kevin, Brenda wants to write a race report and especially to respond to your kind words. As soon as she gets her account approved, she'll post something. Didn't want you to think you were being ignored.
